After being announced on Kickstarter all the way back in 2013, it seemed like Chasm might have been stuck in development hell. Now, however, it seems like that is no longer the case. Today, developer Discord Games announced that the side-scrolling game will finally be released in the Summer of 2018.

In addition to the announcement of the release window, the developer also revealed that the game would be coming to Sony's little-platform-that-could, the PlayStation Vita, much to the surprise of long-time fans. On top of that, players who want both versions of the game won't have to buy two copies as the game will support cross-buy on both platforms, meaning if you buy the PlayStation 4 version, you'll also get the Vita version for free, and visa-verse, of course.

Finally, to celebrate it's long awaited release, and the announcement that it'll be coming to a portable platform, Discord Games also revealed a brand new teaser trailer, which shows off new gameplay from the title. You can, like always, check out the trailer at the end of the article.

Chasm is also set to arrive on PC.
