Since its initial reveal several years ago, Epic Games' newest creation Fortnite has been fairly quiet in development, but a new video from Epic gives a good indication of what to expect thanks to a livestreamed talk with the developers on what the studio has pitched as "Minecraft meets Left 4 Dead."

In a video published by Epic Games through the official Fortnite YouTube channel, the developer hosted a lifestream event featuring senior systems designer Cameron Winston and several employees of Epic Games demoing the latest build of Fortnite, featuring plentiful commentary on the game's weapons and traps, characters, environments, and more.

While the build shown is still in development and will certainly change by the game's final release, if you're looking forward to the colorful destruction of Fortnite the video will still give you a good 30-45 minutes of gameplay to see the game in action and what to expect ahead of its release.

Fortnite is currently in development by Epic Games for release on PC - the game is currently in a closed alpha state with release set for 2015, and in the meantime, you can check out the full video with the game's developers below:
