Japanese PlayStation Plus subscribers now have access to a playable demo of Arc System Works' forthcoming visual novel XBlaze: Code Embryo. YouTuber Kurushii was kind enough to upload an HD play-through of the entire demo, which clocks in at more than an hour long. Although all of the dialogue is in Japanese, you can still enjoy the lovely art and animations and the lively voice acting. While this type of game seems dreadfully slow for my tastes, the character design here looks top notch.

Also of note: Blazblue fans will notice who appears to be Ragna the Bloodedge at approximately 12 minutes and 44 seconds into the video. He's shown just after one of the characters mentions a "Shinigami", which I know from my Death Note days translates into "Death God". Is Ragna a villain in this game?

XBlaze: Code Embryo will be available for the PS3 and PS Vita in Japan on July 25th. Here's hoping for a western release. View the game-play video below.
