If you’ve got some free time this weekend (and I’m sure you do), you should pop over to the Well Played stream to check out some live casts of top players duking it out on the upcoming Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II – Retribution. The Well Played crew is bringing out their top casters, such as fan-favorite (and personal favorite) Husky, as well as the crew from Rootgaming. The amazing SCReddit team will be stopping in for the grand finale: a four hour “extravaganza” which you can expect to start this Sunday, February 27th at 2pm EST.

The finale will consist of a deep look into the game’s single player campaign, and we’ll have a look at the Last Stand multiplayer map, followed up by a world-class King of the Hill match and some exhibition games between community members and Relic’s own balance testers. You can also expect some questions to be answered by the Relic crew, so there’s sure to be some interesting nuggets of info dropped there.

If you’re an RTS fan at all, this is definitely something worth tuning into. The casts should be great fun, and you get a really deep look at one of this year’s best looking RTS games before it even hits store shelves. I’ve personally never really looked into the game before, but considering how much time I’ve spent watching StarCraft II over the past few months, I’m sure this would be interesting to watch. That and I seriously love Husky. He’s adorable.

Oh, and as an added bonus, we’ve got the game’s awesome CG launch trailer for you after the jump. Trust me, you’ll want to see this one.
