Nintendo has released a Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo for Japan and it lets you play as Mario, Pikachu, Link, Mega Man and Villager.
In the demo, if you allow the 3DS to sit on the start screen you will be led to an instructional video that shows off the basics of the game which covers the Smash Ball, Smash Attacks, Combos and more.
Here are a couple of screenshots I took while playing the demo. The character select screen has all the players that have been announced so far and the demo has twenty seven stages, but the demo restricts you to only the first level.
Playing on the 3DS felt very weird to be quite honest. Pulling off the Smash Attacks with the analog didn’t sit well with me. I tried to do a couple in the video below while fighting against the CPU (as well as figuring out the attack and jump buttons), but I failed most of the time.
