Take a look at the final part of Far Cry 4’s Vice Developer Diary. In the last leg of their journey we meet some freedom fighters and sharp looking shamans.
The team sits with a couple of Maoist rebels who fought against the King’s army for over a decade. They talk about the turmoil and chaos during the conflict. They also spoke about the different tactics they used against the King’s forces like employing the use of ‘socket bombs’ to keep the army at bay.
The more surreal part of the trip is when the group heads to a temple where people come to cremate their dead. Among the worshipers are these ash-covered shamans who live their whole lives praying and living blissfully.
Hopefully after this trip the devs were able to incorporate some of the beauty of the region’s people, culture and customs into the final game. As long as I’m still riding on elephants with a grenade launcher, its all good.
Far Cry 4 comes November 8th on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
