I have to admit that every single time I write a news post about Total War: Rome II, I have to go back and invert the in quite a few spots. My old Total War fan self always wants to write Rome II: Total War, but I guess I’m digressing…

Today The Creative Assembly released the first chapter of the upcoming novel based on the game Total War: Rome – Destroy Carthage. Written by Sunday Times bestselling author David Gibbins the book tells the story of Fabius Petronius Secundus – Roman legionary and centurion – in his rise from a battle against the Macedonians that seals the fate of Alexander the Great’s Empire, to total war in north Africa and the tragic events of the siege of Carthage.

The novel will be released on September the 3rd alongside the game. You can enjoy the first chapter here.
