Check Out the Trailer for Battlefield 3’s Version of Strike at Karkand

My favorite map in Battlefield 2 was Strike at Karkand.  It was an example of a perfectly designed multiplayer map.  It had plenty of room for both vehicles and infantry, and yet, it was not too big so infantry would get lost, or too small so vehicles dominated.  It was well balanced.  Now, that map is coming back in Battlefield 3’s first map pack, the Back to Karkand pack.  Strike looks absolutely chaotic in the new trailer, as the Frostbite 2.0 engine destroys building and cover that I have personally used to save my own butt in the previous game in the series.  Of course, to make things even better, it will be free to anyone who bought the limited edition.  Check out the trailer after the jump.

All I can say after watching this is “wow.”

Scott just graduated from Law School. But he didn't let that stop him from gaming, a hobby that he has stuck with ever since he received his NES at age 5. His favorites are Metal Gear Solid, OutRun, Half-Life, Deus Ex, Ratchet and Clank and most recently, the Mass Effect series.
