Today Bungie announced an event that would add new two maps to the Crucible multiplayer mode. These two maps were revealed to be Rusted Lands, a medium sized map in a flooded area on Earth, and Meridian Bay which is a medium sized facility on the planet Mars.
Both of these maps still bring you to the Control gameplay type, where you have to dominate different areas of the map to raise your score along with your team. These two maps were only available for the Iron Banner Event, which took place from 5pm – 7pm EST today. The event was reported to only happen today, however recently it was revealed that this event would be returning a few times before the end of the beta.
Check out the two new maps in the videos below. Meridian Bay has both Day and Night time variants, so we expect the same for Rusted Lands and many other maps.
