The Amiibo crazy is almost here and Nintendo is now showing us how it is going to work with previously released games, starting with Mario Kart 8.

By scanning your Amiibo figures on your Wii U pad while playing Mario Kart 8, you can unlock unique racing suits for your Mii to wear. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Captain Falcon, Kirby, Samus and Fox all being confirmed as Amiibos that will unlock racing suits.

It isn't a super fancy addition, but it is nice that you will be getting something from your Amiibo purchases to use in Mario Kart 8. I mean, that Captain Falcon suit with the white eyes on the visor is pretty awesome after all. The first wave of Amiibo figures will be available for purchase starting November 21st.
