December 10, 2014

Mojang, the developer behind Minecraft, is officially releasing their spin on the digital collectible card game genre with Scrolls tomorrow on December 11th.

Scrolls has had a long journey from it’s announcement in early 2011, going through a major lawsuit with Bethesda that was eventually settled over the use of the word “scrolls” that is shared in the title with their The Elder Scrolls series. After slashing the game’s price from over $20 down to $5, you’ll be able to finally pick up the completed game starting tomorrow on Android and PC, with an iPad version coming shortly after launch.

It will be interesting to watch how Scrolls evolves and what additional platforms it might come to in the coming year, as it is the first game to come from Mojang after their recent purchase by Microsoft. Will we be seeing it on Windows Phones and the Xbox One in the near future? Only time will tell.

You can check out the full one minute launch trailer below to get yourself prepared to build an army and go to war with Scrolls.
