Quan Chi is back and looking like a badass in the latest video for Mortal Kombat X.

While not my favorite character in Mortal Kombat 9, the vicious sorcerer is looking like a lot of fun in the latest iteration of the game with his new skill set. In particular, his warlock skills look particularly brutal, using a variety of portals to perform various attacks in surprising manners. Seeing him throw kicks through portals across the battlefield is pretty awesome, and looks right up my alley.

The trailer ends with a nice little look at Quan Chi's x-ray move, delivering a portal dropping foot to the neck that looks like it might hurt just a little bit. Best of all though is the tease at his fatality, using his classic mind control moves to walk your foe onto a suspended sword where all sorts of brutal things could happen.

Mortal Kombat X is set to release April 14th, 2015 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
