Announced roughly a year ago, CHIKARA: Action Arcade Wrestling is third game in the Action Arcade Wrestling series, and the first entry to notably bring the CHIKARA (a professional wrestling brand) license with it.
In development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, is a 90’s style 2.5D action, and arcade-style wrestling game being made in Unreal Engine 4. It notably features an arena and wrestler edit mode, simple 2-action-button control scheme, hundreds of unique animations, “many” different match types, realstic cloth and rope phycis, diverse weapons selection, and of course the cast of characters from CHIKARA.
Separating it apart from other wrestling games is that not only does it allow the player to employ traditional wrestling holds, but it also allows for the use of zany weapons like lasers, fireballs, rocket launchers, and more.
Recently the developer revealed that the game has been ported from PC to consoles, and showed it running on PS4 in a prototype form.
