Being hardcore gamers we often pride ourselves on our knowledge of JPRGs, our mastery of bullet hell shooters, and our passion for professional eSports. With all of this taking up our time, its easy to forget just how crazy and chaotic pick-up-and-play family-friendly games can be. Luckily, Chimparty on Playstation 4 is on a mission to remind us.

Chimparty's latest trailer doesn't skimp on the silliness, Instead, it embraces it! The concept is simple; a family of paper cut-out people are preparing to play Chimparty's wealth of mini-games together while the narrator explains just how many bizarre and outrageous items they would need if they were to play it without the use of a PlayStation 4. And so a hail of items begin to get tossed onto the scene. Starting off with average things such as bongos and bananas, the family soon find everything from alien laser cannons to conveyor belts appearing around them.

Making use of the PS4's PlayLink functionality Chimparty features a series of 18 colorful minigames across 90 levels that can be played using smartphones as controllers. Players can customize their monkey avatars as they battle it out in haunted castles, pirate ships, and jungles. The game is geared towards casual gamers with simplistic one-button control systems.

Chimparty is available now on PlayStation 4.
