Chivalry 2 has had half a million new players after being added to Xbox Gamepass. After being added last Tuesday, Chivalry has already had an incredibly successful first week of downloads.

Chivalry 2 is a massive multiplayer first-person slasher set in medieval times. A battle supports up to 64 real players at a time, and the game also offers cross-platform play. Released in April 2021. Chivalry 2 was met with good reviews, scoring an 85% on Metacritic. After more than a year since its release, Torn Banners has continued to release new content for the game. The developer is constantly working to balance the game and add new maps and weapons.

This addition to Gamepass came perfectly timed alongside the release of its new 2.6 Reinforced update. This update has offered many balances to combat along with a new map and weapon for the Ambusher class, among many other small changes.

There is also the new King's Edition to the game in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. While this is a paid edition of the game, it does offer unique armor sets and in-game currency to spend.

The new resurgence of players will be good for the entire Chivalry 2 community, showing the developers that interest in this game is still going strong. With multiplayer-heavy games such as this, constant updates and balances are crucial to keep the game feeling alive.

Chivalry 2 is one of the early additions to Game Pass for the month of October. It will soon be followed by other big titles such as Scorn on October 14, A Plague Tale: Requiem on October 18th, and Persona 5 Royal on October 21, among other titles.
