Last night we were treated to a tonne of new footage at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Geoff Keighley showed off a multitude of games that included Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Alongside these, we were treated to a look at FishLabs' latest game - space shooter Chorus (Stylised CHORVS).

The footage, which is described as a "Gameplay Teaser", lasts about a minute and shows off plenty of high-octane interstellar dogfighting action. It contains lots of unseen pre-alpha gameplay capture. In the trailer, we get a look at a variety of beautiful environments including an array of space stations, planets and asteroid fields as well as a mixture of enemies we'll be doing battle with. The game is a brand new IP and was initially revealed in May this year during an Inside Xbox event.

The game is being published by German-Austrian publisher Deepsilver who have an excellent catalogue of games that includes installments from the Saints Row, Dead Island, Wasteland and Metro series'.

Chorus is described by Deep Silver below:

"Take control of Nara, once the Circle’s deadliest warrior, now their most wanted fugitive, on a quest to destroy the dark cult that created her. Unlock devastating weapons and mind-bending abilities in a true evolution of the space-combat shooter. Along with Forsaken, her sentient starfighter, explore ancient temples, engage in exhilarating zero-g combat, and venture beyond our waking reality."

Deep Silver also says the game will be available in 4K and it has been "Fully engineered to take advantage of powerful generation 9 hardware."

Chorus currently has a nebulous 2021 release date and will be launching on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Keep your eyes here for more Chorus details as they become available.
