While the game is now over 25 years old, Chrono Trigger has still held on to its legacy as one of the most iconic JRPGs of all-time. From its memorable cast of characters to its action-packed gameplay, Chrono Trigger still continues to inspire some incredible fan creations to this day, including a set of art from one of the lead creatives behind the recent reimagining of God of War.

Raf Grassetti, the art director for 2018’s God of War and its upcoming sequel, shared a number of incredible renderings of the cast of Chrono Trigger on his Twitter and Instagram. In the series of drawings, he has brought several of the game’s iconic protagonists to life through highly-detailed 3D renderings, which so far includes Chrono, Frog, and Robo.

You can check out his images of the Chrono Trigger cast below:

This of course isn’t the first time that Raf Grassetti has reimagined some of the most iconic characters in gaming. Previously, Grassetti created an entire series of illustrations for the roster of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. You can take a look here at a few of the characters he has reimagined, such as Link, Sonic the Hedgehog, Samus Aran, and more.

It’s safe to say that if you’re looking for incredible gaming related artists to follow, Raf Grassetti is one to surely keep an eye on and worth following on either Twitter or Instagram. Aside from his personal illustrations and art, you’ll also get to see his work in the next God of War title, which is expected to arrive for PS5 sometime next year.
