Civilization V and DLC On Sale, Free-to-Play on Steam This Weekend

To get everyone prepared for the latest expansion for 2K Games and Firaxis’ Civilization V, Brave New World, the publisher is heavily discounting the basic game, along with various DLC and the first expansion, Gods and Kings, on Steam and other digital distribution outlets.

Taking Steam as an example, here are the deals you can get this weekend on Civiliation V and related add-ons:

  • Civilization V is $7.49 (regularly $29.99).
  • Babylon add-on is $1.29 (regularly $4.99).
  • Gods and Kings is $7.49 (regularly $29.99).
  • Civilization V: Gold Edition – which includes a lot of the game’s add-ons and DLC – is $12.49 (regularly ($49.99).

It looks like the Gold Edition is your best bet if you don’t own the game yet. Of course, if you’re really cheap, you’ll probably just want to play the game for free, right? You can do that this weekend on Steam, as well. The discounts are around until Monday, while you can only download and play the game for free until Sunday afternoon. Have at it, wannabe world conquerors!
