Today Nippon Ichi Software revealed a batch of new screenshots of its cinematic horror adventure Closed Nightmare for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

We get to meet three characters, Jun Yagi, Eito Ginjiyou, and a mysterious masked madman who wanders the hallways of the mansion with a bloody knife, ready to attack.

The game even has a “character list” menu that lets the player consults information on the cast, which will evolve as the story progresses. Another menu lets you consult the handwritten notes that you found in the mansion.

The mansion appears to a location where magical experiments are conducted, and the player will find traces of them all over the place. The place also appears to be infested by evil spirits.

While the protagonist lost her memories, at certain points she will see flashbacks and fragments of her past. Another interesting element is a recording from a car driven by Jun Yagi. It may include some clues.

You can check out the screenshots below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy an older gallery and a trailer.

Closed Nightmare will release in Japan for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on July 19th. No western release has been announced for the moment.
