Club Nintendo Offering Free Kid Icarus AR Card Pack for Members

There’s been a lot of buzz lately about the AR cards for Kid Icarus Uprising, which comes out next week. We know that buying the game itself comes with 6 out of a possible 20 cards, but how do you get those extra 14? Well, for one thing, the “Power of Flight” card came in this month’s Game Informer magazine, and I also mentioned that they will be available in the so far Japan-exclusive “Choco Snacks“.

However, another option for you Club Nintendo members out there, they’re currently giving them away absolutely free. Check out the giveaway page to sign in to your account, then enter an address and you’re all set. The freebie contains a pack of three cards,  the “Great Reaper”, “Drill Arm”, and the rare “Palutena” cards.

Cards will also be handed out at certain events over the year, such as PAX East and WonderCon. In addition, the first 250 people at the Nintendo World store on launch day will also receive cards. I wonder if you have to buy the game? I’m reviewing it for the site, but I’ll be back in NYC by then and I don’t have class on Friday. Hmmm…
