Call of Duty Elite Subscription Service Extended

By Masoud House

November 8, 2012

Good news for early Call of Duty Elite subscribers: Activision is extending the Elite Premium Service–for free–to March 1, 2013, to all Call of Duty Elite subscribers who joined the service on launch day last year.

This seems to be a response to the problems the Elite service had at launch, a “Thank you for your troubles” fan service that includes clan support, Elite TV, and more.

The best part of this news is that when the subscription for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ends, the once “Premium” membership turns into a “free” membership, meaning that all Premium members will have Premium access for free.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
