COD: Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Breaks Xbox Live Record

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is responsible for a graveyard of broken records as well as exploding beyond what many have thought possible for game sales. Now Activision celebrates the next victory for the beloved Call of Duty series with the Stimulus Package exceeding 2.5 million downloads in the first week, not to mention over one million in the first 24 hours alone. If you don’t think that’s impressive for some odd reason, refer to Activision’s current game play count of 200,000 years total (1.75 billion hours) on Xbox Live alone. Keeping in mind the success we’ve seen for Modern Warfare 2 across all platforms it has touched, it’s safe to say that the Stimulus Package will probably make a release to the PlayStation Network at some future date and have a very large success there as well.
