Following a tease from a few days ago, today a new Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion game was announced in Akihabara, Tokyo. The title is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories.

Publisher DMM let the fans know that today at 5:00 PM Local time five of the giant TV screens across the popular and delightfully geeky Akihabara district in Tokyo would be hacked for the announcement of the game.

DualShockers was on site to report, and the crowd was already rather large in front of the screen on of the Akihabara UDX venue near the station at 4:45, despite the fact that this was only one of five places where the announcement was scheduled to come.

At 5:00 PM on the dot, the screen was "hacked" and the announcement was aired, with masked anti-hero Zero appearing and announcing the game's official title.

We also learn that the full reveal will come at Tokyo Game Show during a stage event at the DMM booth on September 23rd at 3:00 PM local time. CC's voice actress Yukana and Kallen's voice actress Ami Koshimizu will be in attendance.

While no platforms were mentioned, the title is defined a "social game" so it's probably a browser game, or a title across browsers, iOS, and Android, which is DMM's bread and butter. While DMM has been dabbling into console games with titles like Gal Metal for the Switch, it's unlikely that Code Geass: Lost Stories will be one of those.

If you're unfamiliar with Code Geass, it's a multimedia franchise across multiple anime series, OVA, light novels, manga, and video games, debuted in 2006 and featuring charming character design by famous mangaka CLAMP.

While we wait for the full reveal, you can check out the trailer filmed on location by yours truly below.
