While today largely revolved around news of a certain Duchess of Sussex, there is some good news to be had about princesses as well. Specifically, beat 'em up Nintendo Switch title Code of Princess EX. Publisher Nicalis revealed earlier today that the game would be coming to Nintendo Switch on July 31, 2018 -- packed in with bonuses for everyone who pre-orders the game.

News comes by way of a release date announcement trailer that you can find at the bottom of this article. And not only do we get the information regarding the release date, but we get a fresh new glimpse of Code of Princess EX's remastered HD graphics.

As a bonus incentive to get people hyped up about the release date, Nicalis revealed that the game would be getting a special launch edition with physical goodies. Specifically, anyone who grabs the game on Amazon for $39.99 will get a full-color instruction booklet and 3" CD soundtrack sampler. And in the age of waning physical purchase incentives, it's hard to not get excited about pack-ins on more budget titles.

For those of you that don't remember, Code of Princess EX was revealed to be coming to Nintendo Switch in early March, but at the time only a Summer 2018 release date was announced. As mentioned earlier, Code of Princess EX is the remastering of developer Studio Saizensen's Nintendo 3DS game, Code of Princess. The remaster promises to keep the hack and slash fun that garnered the original cult-following, all while adding HD graphics, local co-op multiplayer, and improved A.I. for enemies. Of course, anyone without a Nintendo Switch can already head out and enjoy the game -- the original version has been available on PC for 2016.

As mentioned above, Code of Princess EX will be available on Nintendo Switch on July 31, 2018; the original Code of Princess is available now on both Nintendo 3DS and PC. Check out the reveal trailer below:
