Today Bandai Namco Entertainment hosted a stage event at Tokyo Game Show, in which more footage of the upcoming Souls-like action JRPG Code Vein was showcased.
First of all, we get to see the game’s character creation for both male and female revenants, even if the male customization takes most of the screen time. It’s really impressive and deep, granting a lot of options to create exactly the hero or heroine you prefer.
Secondly, Game Director Hiroshi Yoshimura plays the TGS demo of the game for the audience, showing a dungeon and the inevitable boss battle. Sfter quite a few defeats (I can’t blame him really, that boss ate me alive), this time around Yoshimura-san managed to triumph over the enemy.
You can check out the video below (conveniently arranged at the beginning of each section described above). If you want to see more, you can also enjoy yesterday’s story trailer, more gameplay, a batch of recent screenshots showing the character creation and more, and a second gallery providing a second look on pretty much the same elements, including some more examples of custom characters.
Code Vein will release worldwide for PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2018.
