Today, Bandai Namco released a brand new video of its upcoming action JRPG Code Vein.

The video is actually the first actual raw gameplay video that we get to see, and focuses on the basic attacks that can be used by our revenant.

In Code Vein, players play the role of a Revenant, who is basically a vampire that has given up part of his (or her) humanity in order to survive in a post-apocalyptic world after the destruction brought by a phenomenon called the “thorn of judgement.”

Looking at the video, which is the results of improvements made to combat gameplay according to feedback received on the first gameplay trailer, you’ll see that it’s definitely comes with a Bloodborne or Dark Souls vibe and pacing, with anime visual added on top.
