Today Bandai Namco showcased quite a lot of Code Vein footage during a livestreamed event, showcasing a nice chunk of gameplay of the upcoming Souls-like action-JRPG.

First and foremost, we get to take a good look at the demo that was playable on the show floor at E3, with all the brutal action that you would expect. Incidentally, we see Yakumo in action as a companion. In previous demos, Mia was the one accompanying the hero. Of course, a brutal boss battle is also included.

Secondly, and perhaps more interestingly, we get a good look at character creation with voice actor Kaito Ishikawa. This is certainly an interesting aspect of the upcoming game, considering that it's very extensive, allowing you to create pretty much the revenant you want. You can also choose a large variety of outfits, from sexy to cool and cute.

Interestingly, we also get to see the preset characters, and all the options individually in a second dedicated video. There is a really, really massive range of options, which is great. Incidentally, you can customize your character at any time by looking in the mirror at the base, which we see in another of the many videos below..

Last, but not least, we get to see the "Venous Claw" and the God Eater crossover weapon pack pre-order bonuses, and a couple of emotes and a bath towel costume that will be included in the Famitsu and Dengeki editions in Japan. Funnily, the towel actually makes sense since there is a hot spring just outside the hero's (or heroine's) base. Bandai Namco still loves its fanservice.

Incidentally, we also learn that a Code Vein manga is also coming, titled Code Vein - Memory Echoes-.

You can check everything out below, alongside a charming bonus guest illustration and the full livestream. If you want to see more, you can enjoy more trailers including the Ivy blood veil, another showing off the Hounds blood veil, one more showcasing the Stinger blood veil, and a fourth featuring the Ogre Blood Veil. We also have the latest gallery of images, a story trailer from a couple of weeks ago and another batch of screenshots.

Code Vein will release in Japan on September 27th, followed by the western release one day later on September 28th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can already pre-order it on Amazon.
