Today Bandai Namco Entertainment released a brand new batch of direct feed screenshots of its upcoming Souls-like action-JRPG following yesterday's reveal on Famitsu.

First of all, we meet Mia Karnstein's younger brother Nikola, who wanders together with his sister in the lands of the Vein, where they protect each other. The new zone named "Ridge of Frozen Souls" is a dangerous mountain pass with low visibility due to frequent snow storms. A challenging enemy dwelling there is well armed and armored, fast, and protected by a heavy shield.

Special attacks will be vital to survive, and Blood Veils allow to execute powerful blood sucking moves. They can quickly dispatch enemies and draw blood used to activate other abilities. We see the Blood Veil named Ivy that can execute lethal and quick attacks, growing thorns from the ground and tearing enemies apart from a distance. We also see three more Blood Veils, Ogre, Hounds and Stinger, offering different balance between power and range.

Each Blood Veil can also be equipped with a Blood Code, that stores the special abilities of its previous owner. When equipping each Blood Code, players will also inherit the abilities of the original owner. The Ranger Blood Code is useful in dungeons, the Hunter Blood Code is good at long-distance battles, and the Berserker code is perfect for melee combat.

On top of the gameplay screenshots, we also get to see a few shots from the anime intro by Ufotable, that worked on many Bandai Namco games like the God Eater and Tales Of series.
