Racing game developer Codemasters teased a reveal for a brand new Dirt game is coming "very soon."In a tweet from the official Dirt Twitter account, it says, "Whilst one journey remains FLAT OUT, another journey is about to begin." This is followed by a link for a letter from Codemasters thanking all the fans of Dirt Rally 2.0, the most recent entry in the rally franchise. Attached is also new logo art for what will presumably be for the unannounced game.

The letter from Codemasters doesn't really detail anything more about the unannounced Dirt game. However, it does say that the reveal will be coming "around the corner" and that it is being developed by a studio separate from the Dirt Rally team.

"Prepare to see something new roar to life in the world of DiRT, very soon," says the letter. "Developed by a separate Codemasters studio to the DiRT Rally team, we’re incredibly excited about what’s around the corner. We invite you to be part of a brand new experience, while also continuing to enjoy our definitive Rally offering."

Also detailed in the letter is the future of Dirt Rally 2.0 and the series as a whole. As of right now, there are no plans for additional Seasons in the current release. However, there will be a few minor updates and "surprises" still to come. Additionally, daily/weekly/monthly challenges and online support will still be live. In terms of the future, the letter states we won't hear about those plans for a while, but ensures we will be "excited" for whatever comes next.

There is some speculation of what this may be. Unless it really is something completely different, it is probably the next main entry, Dirt 5. However, some believe it may be a sequel to the arcade-style spinoff, Dirt: Showdown. I guess we'll know exactly what the next entry in the rally series soon enough.
