After the cancellation of Dead Island 2, four developers from YAGER decided to leave their positions with the studio to begin creating the games that they dreamt about. Today, that group is inbetweengames. That game is All Walls Must Fall, which is now looking for funding on Kickstarter.

In All Walls Must Fall, players enter a world where the Cold War never ended and has in fact been ongoing for 150 years. Time travel technology has been developed in order for the world's agents to gain the upper-hand on each other. In order to prevent nuclear apocalypse, players will need to loop through the events of a single night, utilizing combat and dialogue via isometric, pausable real-time gameplay. inbetweengames also says that music will play an important role in gameplay, complimenting the team's mission to create games with a strong sense of style.

"Drawing on our combined love of cyber-punk and film noir, as well as classic tactics and music games, All Walls Must Fall is a unique reinterpretation of those influences tied together by a healthy dose of style. We can’t wait to embark on this journey with backers to make All Walls Must Fall the best game it possibly can be."

In its Kickstarter, inbetweengames is asking for $16,190.00, but it says there are plenty of stretch goals planned including more diverse environments, better combat, deeper dialogue systems, more weapons, and even an expansion of the game into two more Acts, each surrounding a different character. As of writing this, All Walls Must Fall has reached $7,443.00. It has until April 19 before the Kickstarter ends.

All Walls Must Fall will release on PC, Mac, and Linux. Enjoy this Kickstarter launch trailer for a peek at what inbetweengames has already created.
