Cold War Season 2 Reloaded Release Date - Prediction

We know that a reloaded update for Season 2 is highly likely, so when will the update be released? Well, there's nothing official from Activision or Treyarch, so the best we can do is make a solid prediction.

The first season for Cold War and Warzone dropped on December 16, 2020, and the reloaded update dropped a month later on January 14, 2021.

So, if we go off of that information, it's likely the Season 2 reloaded will begin sometime this week around March 25, 2021. This will be exactly one month after Season 2 launched on February 25. There is also a possibility that Treyarch waits until the first week of April, but it's likely that the midseason update is arriving in the next week or two.

New Operators, Maps, and Weapons

When Season 2 first launched in February, players already knew some of the content that would be coming at a later date, but it's possible Treyarch has some surprises in store for us when the reloaded update comes around.

But here's everything we know that will be released in the new Season 2 update.

Operators

Two new operators are set to join the Warzone and Cold War team when the update rolls around. These operators are Karla Rivas and Terrell Wolf, but there's no information as to how players will be able to unlock them yet. It's likely to be through purchasing in-game bundles, but could also be through completing certain challenges.

Maps

It was also confirmed that two new Cold War multiplayer maps would be joining the rotation, Golova and Mansion.

Golova will be a brand new multiplayer map that will be in rotation through various game modes, while Mansion is exclusively for those jumping into the Gunfight game mode.

These won't be the only two maps joining the rotation, after an outcry from fans, it looks like Miami will be receiving a new day version. Aside from the map now being set in the middle of the day, the new version will also be smaller, closing off certain sections of the map.

Weapons

Last but not least, we know that two new weapons will be joining Cold War and Warzone.

After someone at Treyarch made a slight mistake and released the R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow early, players will now actually be able to get their hands on the new crossbow when it releases with the midseason update. You'll be able to unlock the blueprint for the crossbow through set challenges, or purchasing the bundle in the store.

The ZRG 20MM Sniper Rifle will also be released in the update, but less is known about how players will be able to get their hands on this one. Again, it will likely be through a bundle in the store or completing certain challenges to unlock it.

More Zombies?

Zombies were a big part of Season 2, not only was the new Outbreak mode released, but players were also met with Zombies in Verdansk when they dropped into the Battle Royale map. Now it looks like the inclusion of Zombies could be about to get even bigger.

Going off of the Tweet above, it looks like Treyarch is teasing something big for Zombies. This could either be for the new Outbreak mode that was part of Season 2, or the spread of Zombies in Verdansk continuing even further.

As soon as Cold War and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded drops, DualShockers will have everything you need to know.
