Square Enix revealed Collection of Mana on Nintendo Switch is coming west, and the game will be available on June 6, in a few hours as I'm writing this. The announcement was made during the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct.

Collection of Mana includes Final Fantasy Adventure, also known as Seiken Densetsu 1, Secret of Mana, which is Seiken Densetsu 2, and Seiken Densetsu 3, which is now officially known as Trials of Mana.

Trials of Mana is the official localization of Seiken Densetsu 3, historically coming west for the first time after its exclusive Japan release in 1995.

Seiken Densetsu 3 is by far one of my favorite games on SNES, I love it even more than Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 to pick popular examples. Purely judging from a story standpoint, the only SNES games matching it, in my opinion, are Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem 4 and Super Robot Wars 4. It's a bit of a bummer they're not adding online functionality to play with friends though.

A remake for Seiken Densetsu 3,  which is also named Trials of Mana, was also announced by Square Enix. This is great, as we'll be able to compare both the original game and the remake side by side. My dream came true in a much better way that I could have expected.

You can catch the E3 trailer for Collection of Mana below. I'll be playing it today personally.

A physical version is up for preorder on Square Enix's official shop.
