The trend of tiny, pint-sized renditions of classic games consoles continues asthe a mini version of the Commodore 64 hits North American stores this fall.
TheC64 Mini is following in the footsteps of Nintendo’s NES Classic and SNES Classic; each of which became an instant smash with video game collectors across the globe. The Latest foray into the mini gaming scene comes with many of the features that we’ve now come to expect from these machines including the ability of toggle CRT filters, save anywhere options and a wealth of built-in games.
The adorable plug-and-play package by Retro Games, which was released in Europe earlier this year, is complete with a USB joystick, a HDMI cable, a USB power cable and a manual.
Although tiny, this machine features a whopping 64 titles; all of which are available to play instantly. These include smash hits like California Games, SpeedBall 1 and 2, Impossible Mission 1 and 2, FireLord, IO, and Creatures.
The world’s best-selling home computer will make its long-awaited return to American homes 36 years after its initial release on October 9, providing a warm rush of nostalgia for older gamers.
