After years of waiting, Sony and Pixelopus finally announced today when fans will be able to get their hands on the lovely Concrete Genie.

Revealed via a brief new trailer for the game, Concrete Genie's release date is now officially October 8, 2019. The game will cost $39.99 upon release and will also feature additional PlayStation VR functionality for those who want to try their hand at painting in VR.

Alongside Death Stranding and MediEvilConcrete Genie stands as one of Sony's big exclusives for the later portion of 2019. While it might not have the same pull as those other two titles, it certainly seems to be one of the more unique exclusives that Sony has had in quite some time. With an install size of nearly 100 million though, Concrete Genie will almost certainly find an audience.

Personally, I still don't really know what to think of Concrete Genie. I don't know if it'll be a game that I would personally enjoy but everything that I have seen of it over the years has continued to be so dang charming. With the low price of entry compared to other games, I might just give it a shot once it releases. Of course, assuming I can make time in my schedule to play it during this hectic fall season.
