The Californian based Pixelopus launched a beautiful gem of a game, Concrete Genie, in October last year on the PS4 that hit home with many players who seemed to love it just as much as I did. If you enjoyed what they did with protagonist Ash and the adorable genies and craved more from the studio behind it, you may be excited to hear that they are currently hiring for another endeavor but this time they will be bringing a "new and exciting PlayStation 5 adventure" that will be coming to the next-generation console.

In a posting on Linkedin, Rob Kay who is the Lead Game Designer at PlayStation stated that Pixelopus is expanding and that they are looking for people to join them on "our new and exciting PlayStation 5 adventure". The studio is currently looking for two software engineers to work on a game based out of the PlayStation Head Quarters in San Mateo, California. Although Rob doesn't mention what game it will be or any other information at all, it could very well be a continuation of Concrete Genie or something entirely different like a brand new IP. Whatever the new adventure will entail, there's no doubt that Pixelopus will create something just as beautiful and creative as Concrete Genie given that they have a fantastic team of developers on their side.

Is concrete genie vr only?

Last year before launch, Pixelopus added new control accessibility options to Concrete Genie after a heartbreaking tweet from Cherry Thompson, an accessibility and diversity consultant in the video game industry, spoke up about how they couldn't use the games motion control due to their disability. The studio replied to Cherry's tweet by stating that "Concrete Genie now has a right stick control option in its accessibility options, and allows you to adjust its sensitivity in controlling the cursor. We hope it helps you play our game when it comes out".

If you have yet to jump into the world of Ash and his magical paintbrush, I'd highly recommend you give it a shot. It's the perfect mood lifter as well as being a really beautiful story and also a place where you can allow your artistic side to let loose, even if you're not that great at art. You can preorder Concrete Genie through the official site or through Amazon.
