Remedy Entertainment's Control was one of the best games of 2019. It featured an engaging, mysterious narrative, some world-class visual design, and fun gameplay. Control's narrative was only made better by the game's soundtrack. And now, you can pick up the soundtrack and let its haunting tones infect your earholes.

For the most part, Control's soundtrack probably isn't one you're going to switch on at the gym. I would also be a little surprised if someone used it to help them power through a study session. However, there are a few places the soundtrack fits into your daily life. Personally, I can't wait for my next board game night to use this to set the mood during a playthrough of one of my spookier board games. The music has that vibe that feels perfect for background noise in a game like Fury of Dracula or Betrayal at House on the Hill.

However, there is one track that will immediately hit my gym playlist. If you've finished Control, you probably already know the song I'm talking about. "Take Control" by Old Gods of Asgard is the song that plays during the Ashtray Maze. As one of the best sections of the game, it's incredibly memorable and the song takes it to the next level.. It completely flips the switch on the rest of the soundtrack, turning the intensity up to eleven. If you need one last jolt of energy at the end of a workout, this is the one.

The Control original soundtrack is available now on most music platforms. Composers Petri Alanko and Martin Stig Andersen have, as expected, knocked this one way out of the park. If you're looking for something new to add to your Spotify today, this soundtrack has a few songs you should check out.
