With Control launching later next month, developer Remedy Entertainment and publisher 505 Games have released a new trailer that highlights the game's story and characters.

The trailer has the game's main antagonist remembering a dream he had as shots of the game's characters and locations are shown off. My anticipation for Control increased during E3 2019 and this trailer has me even more excited to jump into the game's trippy world.

For those that don't know, Control is a third-person action game that follows Jesse Faden, who becomes the new director of the Bureau of Control, a government organization tasked with containing and studying phenomena that violates the laws of reality. From there, Jesse is tasked with exploring a mysterious place called the Oldest House. Along the way, she has to adjust to her new supernatural powers in order to defeat an enemy called the Hiss.

On top of the game's new trailer, Remedy announced that the game went gold last week. For a team of 100 people, the fact that Remedy finished this game in about three years is nothing short of a miracle. Additionally, Control's PC specs have been revealed as well. Over 30 minutes of PC gameplay have also been revealed that features ray tracing. With games such as Alan Wake and Quantum Break, Remedy Entertainment knows what they're doing when it comes to giving players a unique experience.

Control launches on August 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is available to preorder on Amazon now. Stay tuned for our full review of the game closer to launch.
