Award-winning composer and Blizzard developer Jason Hayes has brought together a pool of talented musicians to form a new video game cover band which performs original arrangements of video game favorites. Going by the name Critical Hit, the band has an impressive list of musicians.

They took to YouTube to release their debut cover of Angry Birds, which is downright enthralling as it hits all the right notes. Critical Hit promises this is just the beginning as more will come to their YouTube channel. They also announced in the group’s about page, we can also expect to hear songs from World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Mario, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Call of Duty, Halo, Skyrim, Pump It Up, Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pokémon in the near future.

You can check out their debut song below and at their Critical Hit’s homepage.

Dana Abercrombie

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
