Crackdown 3 was delayed to 2017 back in June, and during the Microsoft Game Studios Extra Life livestream, Design Director Clint Burdock, Art Director Dave Johnson and Executive Producer Peter Connelly mentioned a couple of interesting details.

First of all, the studio is aiming to "earlier" than the Holiday season 2017. Secondly, we learn that the game will support 4K on the upcoming console Project Scorpio.

Considering that Scorpio is slated for the Holidays next year, this means that the game should be in our hands before the console.

Crackdown 3 was initially announced at E3 2014, and has been in development since, with the premise of using Microsoft's cloud capabilities to enable a higher level of physical destruction within the game. Considering that release is in less than a year, we should be able to see more soon.
