One of the few complaints we often hear about the otherwise lovely DualShock 4 is its relatively short battery life, that often forces us to be tethered to that USB cord attached to the console.

PS4 owner Justin Gaskin decided to solve the problem on his own, and with the help of a 3D printer, a few components and ingenuity, he created an external battery pack that holds 3 rechargeable batteries to power the controller.

Thanks to a handy switch, Gaskin can easily instruct his controller to use the external batteries while the internal one is being recharged (or just continue playing without needing the USB cord at least for a while).

The shape is a bit awkward, and the battery holder is definitely very pink, but I can definitely see something like this being appreciated by a lot of people. You can check the video showing it off just below.
