Recently, Activision and Vicarious Visions released a free (for a limited time) remake of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy's level Stormy Ascent, that was never released in the original game because it was too challenging.

The level is indeed definitely harsh on timing and skill, and today Vicarious Visions released an impressive video with a breathtaking run of the level, completed in an insane (at least for me) 2:55:73.

The video is basically an open challenge to fan and speedrunners to beat that time, take a screenshot, and share it with them on social media.

Stormy Ascent can be downloaded for free here, only until August 21st. After that date it'll cost $2.99. That being said, there is plenty of time to grab it, and you don't even need to own the game (to get it, of course you need the game to play it).

Just yesterday, Activision talked extremely positively about the performance of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, mentioning that similar initiatives will come in the future.

You can check out the video below, and see if you can beat it. As for me, I would never be able to, even in a thousand years.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is currently available exclusively for PS4, and we don't know if it'll come to other platforms at some time in the future.
