Creative Assembly Confirms Alien: Isolation Will Not Be Coming to Wii U

After its official reveal earlier this week at CES, Alien: Isolation looks to promise a new entry for the Alien game series that returns more to the horror aspects that the earlier films are so well-known for. Unfortunately, it looks like Wii U players may have to miss out on the latest entry when Alien: Isolation releases.

Developer Creative Assembly confirmed via Twitter that while Alien: Isolation will be coming to multiple platforms both current and last-gen later this year, the developer currently has no plans to bring the title to Wii U. While the studio has been well known for its support of PC, the studio has yet to release any titles for the Wii U, with Alien: Isolation instead heading to other platforms. The launch of Aliens: Colonial Marines early last year on Wii U probably didn’t help any of the matters unfortunately, either.

Alien: Isolation releases for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC later in 2014.
