Cult Classic RPG Puzzler Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles Now Available on PC for Free

The fine chaps at RockPaperShotgun have informed me that retro classic Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles can now be downloaded for free. The RPG puzzler was originally released for the obscure Korean handheld, the GP2X, but was eventually re-released for the Dreamcast. Developer Yuan Works states that it’s not just another match-4 puzzler, and that there’s other gameplay elements that make it one of the more difficult, complex offerings in the same genre.

I’m a fan of puzzlers, but I’m even more of a fan of genre-bending sprite-based games, so I’ve already downloaded this gem and will be playing it as soon as I write this up. I suggest you do the same, and give some love to what used to be unknown to most of the world. Perhaps the devs will take note and follow up with some sort of proper sequel. You can download the game here; get to it!

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
