Well, the leaks were indeed true. Cuphead has come to the PlayStation 4.Announced live during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest live stream, Studio MDHR's Maja Moldenhauer showed off a new trailer for Cuphead which confirmed that the highly-popular indie game is heading to PS4. Best of all, the game is available to snag on the PlayStation platform right this moment. Cuphead's arrival on PS4 finally brings the game to all current-generation platforms, with the title also being available on Xbox One, PC, and Switch.

While the prospect of Cuphead coming to PS4 might excite many, those who have previously played the game are likely more curious about the game's upcoming DLC, The Delicious Last Course. Shown off in a new trailer at E3 2019, Studio MDHR has since been quiet about this add-on content, and now it seems as though we know why.

Moldenhauer jokingly explained on the broadcast that, in typical Cuphead fashion, The Delicious Last Course is taking the studio a bit longer to develop than they initially expected. Furthermore, it was acknowledged that the DLC was likely announced a bit earlier than it should have been, which is why news on it has been so sparse. She also went on to say that the COVID-19 has also added an extra layer of craziness to this year, which is likely true for many developers around the globe. All in all, Moldenhauer didn't have much to say about The Delicious Last Course and simply said that it will release when it's done.

Even though it may take a bit longer until we see Cuphead once again, the fact that the game is now out on PS4 is surely an exciting development. If you're looking for an opinionated take on the game, you can check out our original review from 2017 right here.
