Over a year ago, we learned that Focus Home Interactive and Passtech Games, developer of the solid Pikmin-inspired Masters of Anima, were working on a new game together. Today, that title was unveiled as Curse of the Dead Gods and will actually be available via Steam Early Access on March 3.

Curse of the Dead Gods differentiates itself from Masters of Anima quite a bit as it sports a new art style and is an action-focused roguelike. Players are delving into accursed temples, so there are a ton of monsters, pits, traps, and even some gods that they'll have to face off against. Players will also be able to enhance their skillset with special mystical relics, though the developers teased that this causes corruption to take over and will ultimately have negative consequences.

At the time of the game's early access launch, Passtech Games CEO Sylvain Passot claims that it will have "about a third of the final content in production" and will improve over time with more modes, temples, enemies, weapons and more. The Steam page states that Focus Home Interactive and Passtech Games "have a plan to launch before the end of 2020" though they are willing to "extend this timeframe if there is more to work on" following early access feedback.

Curse of the Dead Gods will hit Steam Early Access on March 3, but if you want a taste of it before then it will be playable at PAX East. You can see the game in action with all of the screenshots below:
