CD Projekt Red Developer Gifted Awesome Cyberpunk 2077 Jacket for Ten Year Anniversary at the Studio

One Cyberpunk 2077 developer recently received an awesome game-related gift to mark his decade with the company.

If you work at any company for a lengthy period of time, a lot of times employers will give out certain gifts to commemorate a work anniversary. When I was younger, I remember that my dad used to come home sometimes with odd little things like a plaque or even a wristwatch that his employer gave him to celebrate his time at the company. It’s a cool thought, but most of the time the gifts you tend to get for work anniversaries are kind of lame.

Well, that is unless you work at CD Projekt Red, apparently. Recently over on Twitter, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, Quest Director on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 shared something that CD Projekt got him to celebrate his 10-year anniversary at the studio, and it’s pretty freaking cool.

Tomaszkiewicz was given a jacket for his work anniversary, but it’s not just any jacket. In fact, it’s probably one that you recognize. Yes, the jacket that Cyberpunk 2077’s protagonist V wore in the game’s trailer that debuted at E3 this past June was given to Tomaszkiewicz and it seems to be a pretty fantastic replica. The item seemed to come in a case according to pictures that Tomaszkiewicz shared on his Twitter account and also came inscribed with his full name and “10 Years” on a patch attached to the jacket. You can see a few pics of it attached in the Tweet at the bottom of the page.

While I’m not sure if I would personally wear that jacket around too often, it’s definitely a neat collector’s item that I doubt many others will ever own. It’s also an infinitely cooler work anniversary present than the watches and plaques that my dad got. Maybe he should have moved me and my family to Poland and worked at CD Projekt Red when I was younger.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, although it still doesn’t have a release window. According to one Polish analyst though, they expect the game to release in Q4 of FY 2019. We’ll see if that turns out to be true.
