Cyberpunk 2077 Shows Off Collector’s Edition SteelBooks and a Closer Look at the Statue

Cyberpunk 2077 gives us a sneak peek at what we can expect from the game's steelbook and also a closer look at the collector's edition statue.

In June, on the run-up to the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing, we had a little glimpse at the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition that leaked prior to its official unveiling. In it we saw the game, a statue, an art book, and in-game bonuses all housed in a large yellow box. This time, however, the Twitter page for Cyberpunk 2077 has officially released some beautiful looking pictures of the upcoming title’s steelbook which is currently being printed as we speak in Denmark and going through careful quality checks so it’ll be in top-notch condition for lover’s of those who collect steelbooks.

As well as the metal-plated steelbooks, Senior Community Manager Pawel Burza showcases in a short video a closer inspection of the collector’s edition statue. We can see a rather annoyed looking male V jumping out of his motorbike as the motorbike itself is running over some poor sod. This definitely would be an amazing statue for any Cyberpunk 2077 fan to have on their desk, display case or mantelpiece.

If you’ve ever wondered on the lengths game developers go for their fans then look no further than Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk 2077 who went to a lot of trouble to make sure Cyberpunk 2077’s kit is up to scratch. The title will feature a bulletproof backpack so to make sure this was really the case in reality, Mike unloaded a bunch of bullets into it when he took it home.

“Yeah, I have a bulletproof backpack. I got it because we talk about bulletproof clothing and gear in Cyberpunk. I’ve been thinking about its weight, how it fits into the environment, whether people notice it. Then when I get home we’re gonna take it out onto the range and we’re gonna put a bunch of 9mm rounds into it,”

“Is it really that bulletproof? We’ve seen the numbers, but let’s find out for sure.”

We’ve also recently seen an amazingly talented Russian guy craft the Quadra V-Tech from Cyberpunk 2077 to full scale using foam. He hopes to add another video showcasing the completely finished result – maybe he’ll even try and drive it, who knows.

If you have a few extra pennies lying around and you fancy picking up the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition, it’s currently available at Walmart for $249.99 and if you happen to be in the UK, you can purchase it from GAME for £249.99.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020, with the game also to arrive on Google Stadia in the future. In the meantime, you can preorder the game now over on Amazon.
