It'll likely still be quite a bit of time before anybody outside of CD Projekt RED gets to go hands-on with their next title, Cyberpunk 2077, but it might put some gamers at ease to learn that the title is actually playable from start to finish.

In an interview with Engadget, producer Richard Borzymowski confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 was indeed playable from beginning to end, but there's still a lot of things the team needs to look into and fix. Of course, it's important to realize that in game development this doesn't mean that the game is coming in a couple of months. We've likely still got a good chunk of time before the game hits store shelves.

For reference, we reported that God of War was playable from start to finish back in December of 2016God of War released on April 20, 2018, nearly a year and a half after we reported on that. During E3 earlier this year, CD Projekt RED said that they're "aiming for current-gen hardware." So perhaps we'll see it around 2020 if we're lucky. It would certainly be a pretty incredible way to end this generation.

In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, new screenshots and concept art was released earlier this week. Also, DualShockers' Logan Moore got to sit down with the game's Quest Designer at E3 earlier this summer.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game currently has no release date or release window. And if you haven't put your pre-order down for the game, you can pre-order it via Amazon.
