A user created Metro mod for Cyberpunk 2077 quickly became the talk of the community when it was released back in December of 2021, with fans pleading with CD Projekt Red to make it an official feature ever since.

The mod currently has over 36,000 downloads on the official NexusMods page, but is currently unsupported for the latest 1.5 patch that went live earlier this week.

Cyberpunk 2077's 1.5 update finally brought with it the next-gen patch fans had been waiting for, but it wasn't without a few issues. Although the next-gen update included a long list of fixes, improvements, new features, and more, PS4 users found themselves experiencing a fatal error shortly after.

So, surely the least CD Projekt Red is to give us an official metro system...right?

CD Projekt Red Comments On Possible Cyberpunk 2077 Metro

Marcin Momot, the Global Community Director at CD Projekt Red

" rel="nofollow">recently replied to a Cyberpunk 2077 fan account claiming that a user had spotted a hint for an upcoming metro system addition.

The initial image was already debunked on Reddit, with many users pointing out that the sign had been in the game since release. Prompting the user to quickly remove the post.

However, Marcin crushed all of our dreams promptly by replying to the user on Twitter stating that "There are no plans to add a metro to the game". With Marcin clearly aware that this news would upset fans, he went on to say "I know this might not be the best news but we want to be transparent and just say it like it is".

If you're a PC user, the Cyberpunk 2077 metro mod can be downloaded from the NexusMods page for free, but is currently not compatible with patch 1.5. As for users on consoles, you're out of luck as it doesn't look like a metro system is coming to the game officially anytime soon.
