Well, this is news I don't think anyone was expecting given the game's current status in the development process. If his LinkedIn profile is true, then it appears that Sebastian Stępień, the creative director for the highly-anticipated first-person RPG Cyberpunk 2077, has left CD Projekt Red and started working with Blizzard Entertainment.

Stępień worked with CD Projekt Red over 12 years and previously worked on both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Currently, there's no word on what exactly he's working on over at Blizzard, but whatever it is, he's also the creative director of it.

On top of the speculation about what he's currently working on, it's also worth wondering how this is going to affect Cyberpunk 2077, which has already had a...lengthy development time, to say the least. Hopefully, this doesn't cause too much of a delay.

Cyberpunk 2077, while originally announced back in 2012, soared into the spotlight after resurfacing during E3 2018, where a behind-closed-doors demo was shown off to members of the game's press.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently scheduled to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
